HIV/AIDS is one of the serious health problems in India. But for many
years the focus of intervention was on the sexually active population
and children who are the silent victims were neglected. Rays of Hope was
a project taken up by Swadhar, IDWC to work with children affected and
infected by HIV/AIDS in order to create rays of hope in these children’s
lives.
Rays of Hope aims at rehabilitating HIV/AIDS infected/affected children
through:
• Generating Awareness in colleges, schools and communities
• Developing Support Groups at the community level
• Providing support to the HIV infected and affected children in the
form of :
1. Medicines
2. Nutrition
3. Foster Care
4. Educational Sponsorship
5. Counseling
