The main aim of this programme is to create awareness about the woman’s status in the family and
society, provide information about laws and rights and about ways of dealing with discrimination and injustice and encourage them to improve
their situation. This programme is conducted by the volunteers of Swadhar, IDWC who visit rural or urban communities and conduct sessions
for the uneducated and unaware women. This campaign also includes creating awareness about the following :
• Domestic Violence
• Sexual harassment at the workplace
• Child marriage and its ill-effects
• Child sexual abuse
• Sex-determination tests, female foeticide and infanticide
• HIV/AIDS
• Addictions
• Superstitions
• Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition and Child Development
• Managing budget and small saving schemes
• Basic Laws and Rights of Women as citizens |
